Lake Holon, the Crown Jewel of the South, also known as Mount Parker. "Holon" is derived from the T'Boli word which means deep-water. Lake Holon is surrounded by fifteen guardians which represents each peak surrounding the lake. How to get there? ⬇️ From our case, our travel route is ILIGAN–CAGAYAN DE ORO–MARBEL which takes 10-12 hours. However, if you are from General Santos City, you can ride a bus either YBL (Yellow Bus Line Inc.)/Mindanao Star Bus Transport Inc. Fare varies from ₱80-100. 🍃 From Iligan Tambo Terminal to Cagayan de Oro Bulua Terminal, you can ride Super 5 or Rural Transit. Fare is ₱200/person only. Then from Bulua Terminal, you can ride a metered taxi (rate is around ₱120-150) to Agora Terminal. 🍃 From Agora Terminal, you can ride a bus going to GenSan, but you can drop off at Koronadal/Marbel Public Terminal. Fare is ₱845/person. 🍃 Ride UV Express from Marbel Public Terminal (Koronadal City) to T'Boli Public Terminal. Fare is ₱100/person only. 🍃 The T'Boli Public Terminal to T'Boli Tourism Office is just walking distance, but if you opt to ride a habal-habal, fare is ₱15/person only. To go to Lake Holon, you can book travel tours or DIY but not advisable. We booked our two-day itinerary (Decmber 17-18, 2022) with Saka Ta Besh (  / equalityarn  . You can check their page for your reference. If you plan to trek, prepare your hiking/trekking gears. Most of us bought our stuff in Decathlon. Mostly you will be needing a tent, raincoat, trekking shoes/sandals, water container, flashlight, and dri-fit clothes. Make sure also to bring extra money for souvenirs, boat ride to outlet and loo charges. Take note that Lake Holon has annual temporary closures from January to March for rehabilitation.
