We’re still in the Middle East season and this time our cruise ship brings us once again to the beautiful port of Muscat, Oman. And trust me… this place feels truly magical ✨ In this episode, I joined a guest shore excursion called “Mystical Muscat”, and it turned out to be such an unforgettable day! Together with our guide, we learned so many interesting stories about Omani culture, history, and daily life while exploring the city. 📍 Here’s what we discovered: The breathtaking Sultan Qaboos Grand Mosque - peaceful, grand, and absolutely stunning A walk through the colorful Muttrah Souq, where I picked up a Muscat T-shirt as a little memory A visit to Bait Al Zubair Museum to understand Oman’s heritage and traditions A scenic photo stop with views of the Sultan’s Palace, Fort Jalali, and Fort Mirani After returning to the ship, it was straight back to crew life and work… but the day wasn’t over yet! In the evening, I had something really important - an online interview with the shore office for a position in the shops department… and guess what… I got approved! 🎉 A big step forward in my cruise ship journey! And one week later, we’re back in Muscat again. This time exploring on my own. I visited Muttrah Fort, enjoyed the peaceful atmosphere, and drank coffee with one of the most beautiful views over the harbor. Moments like these remind me why I love this life at sea.
