We're in the Falkland Islands and today we'll see penguins. The tour we purchased was from a private vendor at the end of the dock, where the tender boats dropped us off. The tour lasted about 3 hours and cost about $30 per person, other trips cost more, but we were looking for the simplest tour. We stayed within a mile of the ship the entire day, because if the wind started getting too high, the port would close, and the ship would have to relocate. They would continuously blow the ship's horn should this happen. The downtown Port Stanley area is an easy walk with plenty of shops and a pub... We had to go and get fish & chips...and a beer or two. Follow along with the itinerary of this adventure.
