ROLL OVER BEETHOVEN | EARLY BEATLES VERSION | GUITAR LESSON

Roll Over Beethoven was a favourite of the Beatles and in fact they'd been playing it long before they were the Beatles. It featured on With the Beatles and can be found on Beatles at the BBC live sessions from the mid 1990s. George Harrison's solos are close to Chuck Berry's original from 1956 but the pull - offs are slightly less embellished. It's a great tune and John Lennon's steady rhythm guitar parts are relatively easy to recreate also (possibly because he'd been playing the song since his early days as a guitarist). This was requested by Linda and Muamar. I'm doing the easy requests first at the moment because I'm working on a new rock and roll guitar course which I've just launched.
