Cheap Strategy to Kill Weeds in Lawn - Crazy or Genius?

I am testing out a cheap strategy for excellent weed control in the lawn. This strategy is only for dormant bermuda grass lawns. I mixed glyphosate in a sprayer and sprayed a dormant bermuda lawn from 16 ounces per acre up to 96 ounces. I wanted to see how it affected the lawn turning green during spring transition. The weed control for this strategy is excellent but I don't want to risk damaging the lawn in the process. The results were not what I was expecting.
