From there, we walk west along 34th Street to the Hudson River Greenway. I had hoped to include the High Line, but it was closed due to lingering snow. The consolation prize? Jaw-dropping views of the Hudson River scattered with floating ice fragments — a rare winter spectacle I’ve only seen a handful of times in my life. After lingering along the waterfront, we loop back north along 11th Avenue, returning to Hudson Yards with fresh appreciation for this ever-evolving part of the city. Opened in 2019, it transformed a once-industrial area into a mix of gleaming skyscrapers, public art, high-end shopping, and green space.
