Shishuniketan, Sainik School Bijapur Campus, Vijayapura-586102, Karnataka State The Investiture Ceremony for the year 2016-17 was held on 2 July 2016 in the Shishuniketan Campus. Col Tamojeet Biswas, Chairman, Shishuniketan was the Chief Guest for the occasion. The programme started with the invocation song and a Kathak classical dance by students of the school. Col Tamojeet Biswas awarded the students of Sharavathi, Tungabhadra, Krishna and Cauvery houses the appointments. Tushar Jain and Shradha Madaraki were appointed Head Boy and Head Girl respectively. The new student appointments took oath to discharge the duties with highest sense of honesty and dedication. The students who excelled in academics were awarded stars on the occasion. Col Tamojeet Biswas in his address congratulated the School, House and Class appointments, asked them to lead and set good examples for others. He thanked the parents for sparing their valuable time to be present on the occasion of Investiture and for supporting the children to grow by helping them at home. He also thanked Head Mistress and team of dedicated teachers for training the students for the scintillating singing and dance programme and doing a wonderful job of planning annual programmes so well. He expressed happiness over the way the Shishuniketan is progressing. He again called upon the young leaders to take the opportunity to work hard, learn, grow and take pride. Mrs. Kamala S Thambe, General Employee who retired on superannuation, was felicitated on the occasion. The ceremony of award of epaulettes was attended by Sqn Ldr KJM Reddy, Officer in Charge, D.Vijaya Kumar, Coordinator, Head Mistress of the School, staff, students and a large number of parents.
