Primary infertility means the couple has never conceived before. Secondary infertility the couple has conceived and they have a viable previous pregnancy and now they are not able to conceive again. So this may be due to female factors, male factors or combination of both. For the female factor most important cause is obesity then thyroid dysfunction, PCO, endometriosis or hyperprolactinemia. So necessary blood tests like AMH, FSH, TSH, Prolactin level should be checked.
