Modified Casio MT-35 keyboard. This performance synth was engineered by Spivkurl, who has been building and bending circuits for over fifteen years, and has been playing Casio keyboards for about thirty years. See previous bends, builds, and modifications by Spivkurl here; http://www.wearerecords.com/spivkurl.... This keyboard is up for sale now on eBay!!! http://www.ebay.com/itm/322359947673?... Another cool video of this keyboard is here... • Circuit Bent Casio MT 35 Spontaneous Glitc... This particular instrument is a prototype of this model of bend by Spivkurl. Casio MT-35's and related models like MT-36 and MT-40, used an unusual form of synthesis, which uses a shift register to create the synthetic sounds. Percussion is hybrid of analog and synthetic. This is surely the most thoroughly modified MT-35 I have seen, with bends which modify tone, rhythm, and accompaniment – and which interact amongst each other, and are completely independent of stock use of the instrument. There are four multi-mode circuit bends included, One single mode degrade switch, Plus an Eight Point banana patch bay. Six switches control the bends and modes. The “Feedback Mod,” “Distortion,” and “Clock/Tempo Glitch” each have potentiometric (knob) control. The Eight Point banana jack patch bay modifies gain and filter characteristics of various elements of the sound, most especially the percussion/drums and “casio chord” elements. All bends and modifications can be removed by switch, for completely stock/standard sounds of the Casio MT-35! A wide variety of sounds can be invented with this keyboard. Drones are obviously a simple matter. Ransom sequences and glitches are an easy task. Dark industrial techno rhythms and basses are fun to sample from this one! With three (3) key modes, you can coax more useful keyboard sounds from this little instrument. Making distorted, noisy, or dense bass or drum samples is entirely with your reach! When a 1/4 inch plug is inserted into the output, the onboard speaker is disabled. An added output volume knob can adjust the gain of the speaker and 1/4” output jack. The output is suitable for recording, effects, or amplification, depending on the gain setting. This is a classic and increasingly rare Casio Casiotone MT-35, with high quality circuit bending and modification. With the included patch and audio cables, it is the perfect way to enjoy circuit bent synthesis right away. A great gift for any musician or electronics enthusiast! A one of a kind circuit bent device to study and enjoy!
