Horses' hooves are protected by metal, but even if you don't have your horse's hooves shoed, they're pretty damaging. So, as you can see on our trailer, even the sides get a little bit torn up from those hooves. So, the Surehoof trailer mat is going to kind of protect your trailer. So, it's gonna last all those years. So, we don't have to be replacing these floors every couple years. This could be used for your floors, but also on the walls as well, 'cause sometimes when those horses are kinda kicking around, sometimes they kind of hit the sides right here. So one, it's gonna kind of protect and give it a nice little barrier, so the water doesn't get to it but also protect it from the hooves as well. When it comes to this, the size of it overall, the lengths about 72 inches, the width is about 48 inches and each of these little slats is about two inches thick. So, every single time we need to trim this down a little bit. I think maybe two inches would do it. 'Cause you can see how we're kind of coming up on the side of our horse trailer right here. But this is gonna be the easiest point to cut through, 'cause it's the thinnest. At its thickest point, it's about a half inch, which is kind of a lot. That's gonna be a really good barrier for the horse hooves or whatever kind of livestock that you're hauling around, whether it's cattle, pigs, whatever, everything, they really do like to kind of dig in. And another thing about this is woods tends to soak up some of that smell. So, whenever we're hauling our pigs from our little spot to the campgrounds for the fair, it just smells horrible for, I don't know, about a week or so. So, having something that's not gonna absorb all of that nasty stuff. So, it makes it nice and easy to clean out. So, your trailer isn't gonna stink. We keep ours in our shed. So, we wanna keep our shed smelling good too. This is a horse mat, but I would definitely use it in our cattle trailer as well. Our cattle trailer is aluminum, so we're not really worried about the moisture and stuff, but it just gets so loud. So, having this down at the bottom, whenever we're at the fair or whatever, whatever kind of show we bring 'em to, it's just gonna keep that noise to a minimum. 'Cause we typically have a decent amount of animals in whatever trailer we have this in and it's just gonna keep that sound a little bit lower. So, it insulates there for sound. But also if you're hauling around in the cold, it's gonna help keep that some of that heat in. So, your animals are a little bit more comfortable. This is where we take care of a lot of our cows, but we put mats down. 'Cause whenever we go to shows and stuff, they're not really used to walking on concrete, their feet get a little sore and they start to walk a little different. So, we wanna protect their hooves to make sure that they're nice and comfortable, 'cause we usually take them out to somewhere that they're not really used to being. So, whenever the mat is in your trailer you unload everything and you put 'em somewhere. You can take that whole entire mat out and put it down if you're on concrete or something just to protect your animals. I think it's kind of the best of both worlds. It's gonna protect your trailer, but then you can also move it around to protect your animals too. The happier they are, the happier I am. So, that's kind of what we do here. Another thing too for the dogs might as well just put it in their kennel, if you have an outside kennel. One, it's easier to wash off. And two, it's gonna be a nice little warm spot for them to kind of lay out and stuff. So, it's not just for horses, not just for anything with hooves, you can use it for any types of animals. It just makes it easier to clean and it gives them a nice little cool spot. We even use this for the dirt, the horses in the stall they just sit there and just paw, paw, paw and just dig these massive holes. And this is what we did to prevent it. These have been down for, I don't know, probably like three or four years, and we don't have any holes and it only takes them about one season to paw at it, and literally be able to just have their whole entire head underneath our fence. So, put it on concrete for the hooves. You can put it on the ground just to protect what you got going there. At the end of the day it's not about just protecting our equipment. It's also about our furry little friends and that's pretty much it for our look at the Surehoof horse trailer mat..
