Royal Air Force Chinook CH-47 ZH902 airlift from RAF Boulmer

A nice movement to have a Boulmer following the conclusion of exercise Rising Panther, was this Royal Air Force Chinook. It flew up to collect some equipment which had been used on the base to support combined Chinook and Merlin operations throughout the past week. Sadly these days RAF Boulmer has very little in the way of traffic. At one point it was a fixed SAR base with 2 Seakings being based here for many years. Once though this role was sold off the heliport has essentially been vacant since. Seeing something such as a Chinook simply come up to pick some equipment up is great to see.
