The band were under the direction of Major Frost and led by Household Division Senior Drum Major WO2 Chambers MVO. The Major General's Inspection is an annual event where the General Officer Commanding London District, Major General Bowder inspects the troops of the Household Division to ensure the high standards of uniform are displayed by all soldiers on parade to ensure readiness for the ceremonial summer season of high profile engagements such as The King's Birthday Parade, Guard of Honours for State Visits and of course The Changing of the Guard. Also part of the inspecting party is the Garrison Sergent Major, The Brigade Major, Regimental Adjutant's and Colonel's and the Household Division Master Tailor. The Commanding Officer and Regimental Sergent Major Household Division Bands also take part inspecting the band's uniform and also their performance musically during the inspection.
