Kuala Lumpur has been a hoot, but I’m now heading to the food heaven that is Penang – and I’ll be basing my expanding waistline in Batu Ferringhi. The last time I was in Batu Ferringhi was pre covid and the place was pumping. Hawker centre, cafes, night markets, they were all going off like a frog in a sock. But post covid that frog has lost some of its energy, its joie de vivre has disappeared faster than a croissant on a Paris Sunday morning. Come and check out the Hawker Centre and Night Markets - they are alive and kicking but they could definitely do with an influx of tourists. So get yourselves up to Batu Ferringhi and let's get things pumping again.
