In this series, we’re driving from Bangkok all the way down to Southern Thailand, exploring beaches, towns, food, and the freedom of discovering the country by car. For this journey, we rented a *Toyota Yaris from Hertz at Suvarnabhumi Airport (BKK)* — a compact, easy-to-drive car that’s perfect for Thailand’s highways and city streets. In this first episode, we leave Bangkok behind and begin our drive south toward the seaside town of **Hua Hin**. --- 🛣️ The Drive: Bangkok to Hua Hin The drive from Bangkok to Hua Hin is smooth and straightforward — a great introduction to road-tripping in Thailand. The highways are well maintained, clearly marked, and relaxed compared to central Bangkok traffic. Along the way, we stop for: 🍜 A delicious Thai lunch 🥤 Refreshments and a short break before continuing the drive Thailand’s roadside dining is an experience in itself — simple, authentic, and packed with flavor. Even a quick stop becomes part of the adventure. --- 🏨 Checking In: City Beach Resort, Hua Hin After arriving in Hua Hin, we check into **City Beach Resort**, conveniently located near the beach and within easy reach of the town’s main attractions. Its central location makes it a great base for exploring on foot in the evening. --- 🌊 Evening in Hua Hin Our first evening in Hua Hin includes: 🏖️ *Hua Hin Beach* A relaxed stroll along the beach to unwind after the drive and enjoy the coastal atmosphere. 🚉 *Hua Hin Railway Station* One of Thailand’s most iconic train stations, known for its beautiful Thai-style wooden architecture and historic charm. 🌙 *Hua Hin Night Market* A lively evening destination filled with street food, fresh seafood, local snacks, souvenirs, and the vibrant energy that Thailand does so well. --- 🚘 Why Road Trip Thailand?
