Officials in Bangladesh have confirmed the deaths of at least 38 persons after a fire that ignited a massive chemical explosion at a shipping container facility. More than 300 people have been hurt, and the death toll is anticipated to grow. Witnesses reported seeing unrecovered dead at a facility in Chittagong, Bangladesh's largest port city. Fire-ravaged areas still include a few dead. Among the wounded are at least 40 firemen and ten police officers, according to Chittagong's provincial police head Anwar Hossain. At the very least, five firemen were murdered in the line of duty in this tragedy. Witnesses reported seeing individuals enveloped in flames after the explosion.
