We're working through a bunch of cross training shoes right now (testing shoes is literally, a lot of work). BUT for the impatient, here's the first pass on the Puma Fuse, which is Puma's first foray into the Crossfit shoe arena. In general, the Fuse is a heavier shoe (though you have to size up by 1/2 size). The biggest difference is the cushioning when compared to the Metcon 6's. The Fuse offers way more cushioning which may help with lots of the jumping movements. The drop on the Fuse is 10mm which is higher than the Metcon 6's 7mm (or 15mm with the hyperlifts). Shoelaces are longer on the Fuse which is great for those who abhor Nike's poor shoelace design. From a breathability perspective, the Metcon 6's will offer those with damp feet better breathability. On leaf blower testing rig, we logged air coming off the Metcon 6's at 9.7m/s and the fuse at 7.3 m/s. Both of these shoes are much better than most. The best shoe video is still a few weeks out BUT we've done detailed reviews for the following shoes: Nike Metcon 5 vs. Nike Metcon 6: • Should You Upgrade? - Nike Metcon 6 vs. Me...
