On February 7, 2025, GDYT celebrated 11 years of providing summer employment opportunities for Detroit youth ages 14-24! 🚀 Our very own Dre’Shawn, Developing K.I.D.S.’s Sports & Recreation Coordinator, had the honor of being the MC, sharing his journey from a GDYT participant to a full-time team member with us. 💪🏾✨Dre had the opportunity to connect with Mayor Mike Duggan, DPSCD Superintendent Alycia Merriweather, Detroit City Council Member Fred Durhal, and many others dedicated to investing in the future of our city’s young talent. As GDYT enters its second decade, Mayor Mike Duggan officially opened the enrollment portal, giving thousands of young Detroiters the chance to gain meaningful summer work experience.
