"The Kitemaker" by Ruskin Bond

Ruskin Bond is one of my favorite authors. If you are nascent at reading story books you should always grab some story books by him to get interested in reading and grow up as a fervor reader. Being a nature loving person I make a tour of many places mainly the hill stations through his books. His eloquent writings and description of the hilly places in his stories transcends and excites me a lot. In most of the stories he depicts anecdotes from his childhood and growing age which helps one to relate to his/ her life though not fully but till a certain extend.One would definitely get the essence of a rustic simple life through his stories. This story "The Kitemaker" depicts the subtle love and affection between Ali, a small rustic boy and his grandfather who was once a renowned kitemaker turned into a meager man without money and fame but the passion still residing in his heart and beckoning his little grandson Ali.
