I have concluded this is the best finesse rod I have ever used AND just may be the best finesse rod produced so far. The sensitivity and performance of the St. Croix Legend Extreme far surpasses competitors in either the Daiwa or Shimano lines for finesse techniques. This medium fast action rod is smooth and responsive to the most subtle movements across various ground compositions as well as when I get a bite.
