This level crossing is controlled from the attractive and traditional-looking signal box next to it, which also has control over all 5 public highway crossings on this part of the line from just south of Retford to this location, and the signaller gets a real sense of speed as the trains shoot past at up to 125mph. The road here isn't used by much, mainly farm and industrial traffic accessing a small estate over the railway, and the alarms are quite loud. One produced a continuous screeching tone too, but has since been replaced with a YA30 yodalarm. A trio of High-speed Azumas feature in this video of a pair of lowerings. Hope you enjoy!
