This is a walkthrough to a cutscene from the Birthplace located in the Abyss. You must have the Kingsoul charm to open the way to the Birthplace. Once you use the dream nail on the egg, you will have to scale your way through a platforming section until you reach the top, which will reveal some lore on "The Knight" (Player) and "The Hollow Knight" (Boss). Upon completion, this will permanently replace the Kingsoul with the Voidheart, which grants you access to extra content/endings and shades become benign to you.
