Morning Walk Upstream via Forest Trail and Mossy Rock Garden | Fukuchiyama, Japan 4K
A peaceful morning walk in the forests along a beautiful river through Futasegawa Gorge in the mountains of Fukuchiyama in Kyoto, Japan. I had been by this little village a couple times and the oni statues caught my attention, as well as Shindoji Bridge over the Miyagawa River. I saw there was a trail on the far side of the river, and I thought it would be nice to walk it. I started below the village and walked through some tall grass along the river and into the forest. There were some very interesting mossy rocks, and the remains of rock walls. I was hoping to find a villager to ask about them, but no luck. It seems this area is famous for its rocks and rock gardens though. It was a beautiful walk with a nice combination of tranquil riverside atmosphere, moody forests, and a taste of a small mountain village. I hope you enjoy it.
