If you have a van, you probably have a bug screen — and if you have a bug screen, you’ve probably dealt with the velcro failing over time. That’s exactly what happened to mine. After a year of temperature changes and lots of use, the adhesive velcro along the top of my side door started peeling off and the screen wouldn’t stay put. So instead of replacing it or redoing the velcro again, I decided to try a different approach. In this video, I’m sharing an idea I came up with using sewn-in washers along the top of the screen and screw-in cup hooks in the van ceiling to help support the weight. This is still a work in progress, and I’ll still be using velcro on at least one side, but so far it feels like a much more secure solution. This isn’t a perfect build or a professional install — just a practical fix I’m testing out after living with the problem. If you’ve had issues with bug screens in your van, I’d love to hear what’s worked for you. Thanks for watching 🚐✨
