Much can be said about this encounter. Personally, I did not envy any tank or DPS who went through the learning pains of this fight's add phase. A lot was resting on their shoulders. I had hit a roadblock on one particular day where nearly every group that I joined did not demonstrate the requisite DPS to get through the first three waves of the add phase. This persisted for the better part of twelve hours. The good news at least was that I became exceedingly efficient at healing everything up to that point of the fight. The following evening, a chance encounter with a practice party inviting users onto a Discord channel for call-outs and communication achieved more than I could have possibly hoped, and made up for my efforts of the previous day. Hosted by Taei Tertots, she and members of her free company Mooglecake (as well as other party finder recruits) were in it for the long haul. The finish line was within our sights, and just before 2AM on Saturday morning, April 12, 2025, catharsis was achieved. I hope the one person who said at the end that they will quit smoking will also make good on that promise.
