DATE/TIME: 11/3/2018 6:27pm CITY: San Diego LOCATION: 6600 Imperial Ave (Encanto) INCIDENT DETAILS: San Diego Police Watch Commander Log: Incident# 04757 Begin Date/Time: 11/03/2018 06:27 PM End Date/Time: Beat: 436 Location: 6600 Imperial Ave Neighborhood: Skyline Inc Type: Hit and Run Fatality Synopsis: An unknown vehicle was westbound in the number two lane of 6600 Imperial Ave. A 35-40 year old female pedestrian was walking westbound on the south sidewalk of 6600 Imperial Ave. The pedestrian crossed the eastbound lanes of Imperial on a diagonal path to the center island and continued into the westbound lanes failing to yield the right of way to approaching traffic. The pedestrian crossed into the westbound number 1, then 2 lane, and was struck by the vehicle. The vehicle failed to stop as required and fled westbound on Imperial Ave. The pedestrian died at the scene. The vehicle was possibly a 2 door black vehicle. San Diego Police traffic Division is investigating.
