On this episode we sat down with RICH ROLL, AKA ULTRAMAN! After having an interrupted career as a butterfly swimmer at Stanford University during the late 80’s due to an alcohol addiction, Rich continued to battle his demons with drugs and alcohol, leading him astray from friends, family and at times landing him in jails. It wasn’t until the eve of his 40th birthday, coming home from a long day of work as an entertainment attorney that it all hit him. Rich was defeated by a flight of stairs, leaving him in pain and a realization that things needed to change as he was on the precipice of a heart attack. He was 50 pounds overweight and unfulfilled. Today, Rich is a 52 year old Vegan Ultra-Endurance Athlete, a full-time wellness & plant based nutrition advocate, author, public speaker, husband and father of four. His story serves as an inspiration worldwide, and a testament of living a pro active life.
