Overlanding the Smokey Mountain 1000 Day 5 | Pine Mountain GA to Charlies Creek Trail in GA

Today, we wake up from camping at the pretty cool camp site we found the day before. We packed up and headed west in Georgia and clockwise on the Smokey Mountain 1000 route. Our main goal was really just to get passed Charlies Creek trail that has a couple water crossings. the drive to Charlies Creek was cool and if you have time to stop and check out the area on the Tallulah River, it’s pretty cool looking. Charlies Creek was not a very long trail, or a very hard trail, but it was cool enough. We really only went about half a day and quit the SM1000 route after Charlies Creek since we had over a 3.5 hr drive back home. We were also super close to some other trails, like Sarah’s Creek and Earl’s Ford Rd trail. Beasley knob was also just a little further west Georgia. Cashes Valley is also a little further west than those and has multiple water crossings. We will go back down to Georgia at some point to do those trails. Don’t forget to subscribe!
