Over three-and-half years after a 17-year-old dalit boy from Kharda village in Maharashtra was allegedly beaten and strangulated to death, the district court acquitted all the nine accused in the murder. Nitin Aage, the dalit boy was reportedly seen talking to an upper caste girl in his school which led to retaliation by her family members. According to the boy's father who crushes stones for a living alleges that the people who were witness to the incident demanded money to testify before court.
