The most epic 4th of July weekend EVER. Yes, our gal T-Swift had a blast celebrating Independence Day in New York this year, and we're pleased she documented the entire thing on Instagram. Ok, five reasons why we wish we were invited to the festivities. Maybe our invite just got lost in our spam folder? Starting off with number one reason we wish we were invited, which we already kind of mentioned -- THE GUEST LIST. Seriously, it's like Taylor thought of all the people we'd ACTUALLY want to hang out with, and got them to celebrate the 4th of July with her. We've got Lena Dunham, Emma Stone, and you know if Emma Stone is there, Andrew Garfield was there too. Hart of Dixie star Jaime King also took part, in addition to The Giver star Odeya Rush -- looks like T-Swift had no trouble taking her co-star under her BFF wing, right? And this photo caption? Even cuter, as it reads: "Family portrait." All together now -- awww. OK, so our next three reasons why we wish we were invited to Tay's 4th of July blowout are kind of like one reason rolled into one. The activities! Whoever planned this really knew what they were doing! So even though New York got hit with some rain over the weekend, Taylor and company managed to find ways to make it fun regardless. Exhibit A? A FREAKING SLIP'N'SLIDE! Taylor shared a photo of herself hurling down some tarp on a turtle floatie with the caption: "When the 4th of July gives you nonstop rain, make a giant slip n slide." You know what they say -- when life gives you lemons... The next AMAZING activity -- they went yachting! Yes, Tay and all her famous friends gathered on a boat and sailed around. Wind in your hair, salt water on your face...ahh! So lovely. Seriously, is there anything more east coast 4th of July weekend than that?! Last but not least -- they had some serious beach fun. All of them CHARGED into the ocean which Taylor appropriately called a "Sea Stampede." Hashtag FOMO. The FINAL reason we're bummed we didn't score an invite -- I MEAN -- the final reason we're bummed we couldn't MAKE it? The food! This girl must have picked up some pointers from her visit with Food Network star Ina Garten, because the food looked on POINT. Not only did Tay whip up and apple pie, but she also made one of those famous 4th of July cakes made from fresh fruit that looks like an American flag.
