Latonya Williams, Forest Supervisor within the Forestry Unit at the Ministry of Environment and Natural Resources, explains how using national, high-resolution data helps better reflect real conditions on the ground and supports stronger policy decisions. Jenny Morris, PRAIS Reporting Assistant, discusses the value of hands-on software training, regional collaboration, and the importance of reporting all environmental work to ensure national achievements are properly recognized. They were among Geographic Information System (GIS) and land experts from various Caribbean Small Island Developing States (CSIDS), that participated in a training on the use of high-resolution data and tools for 2026 Reporting on Performance Review and Assessment of Implementation System (PRAIS) 4. The workshop was organized by the Partnership Initiative for Sustainable Land Management, with support from the United Nations Convention to Combat Desertification, financing from the Global Environment Facility (GEF), with the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) serving as the Implementing Agency; It was delivered in collaboration with Apacheta.
