The Europaweg is a hiking trail that runs from Blauherd above Zermatt all the way down to Grächen. The first quarter of this trail (from Blauherd until a bit further than Täschalp) makes for a very fun flow trail with absolutely beautiful views. The rest of the Europaweg is not really rideable anymore since it simply involves way too many sections where you have to carry the bike. This video only shows the third part of the Europaweg. The other parts are linked in the video, as well as here below. This part of the Europaweg starts off with an extremely tough climbing challenge. Later on, there is a second very challenging climb. These two sections are quite long and very chunky but the bike can be pushed easily since they are mostly flat. An E-MTB is definitely preferable for this trail but it's also possible to conquer these sections on a regular MTB. The rest of the trail is pretty flat and flowy, with a bit exposure at a few sections. 1st part of the Europaweg: • Europaweg Part 1 - Bidemjini | Zermatt, ... 2nd part of the Europaweg: • Europaweg Part 2 - Galen & Sattla | Zerm... 4th part of the Europaweg: • Europaweg Part 4 - Fad & Grosswang | Zer... Extension of the Europaweg: Trail description on Trailforks: https://www.trailforks.com/trails/eur... As always, don't forget that most often the POV footage looks less steep, less technical and less intimidating than in reality. I am riding a custom Trek Remedy 8 2020 with a 2020 RockShox Lyrik Ultimate fork (with a DIY spray paint finish) in the front and a 2020 RockShox SuperDeluxe Ultimate (with MegNeg) shock in the back, Formula Cura four piston brakes (200 mm rotor in the front, 180 mm rotor in the back) and Maxxis Assegai (front) and DHR II (back) Exo 3C MaxxTerra 2.4'' tires.
