A Year 13 Media Studies Short Documentary Project. For 95 years, Western Springs Speedway in Auckland, New Zealand was the heart of Kiwi motorsport. Since its first race in 1929, the famous dirt oval hosted generations of sprint cars, midgets, motorcycles, and stock cars. Families filled the stands, legends were made on the clay, and the roar of engines became part of Auckland’s summer nights. Now, after nearly a century, the speedway has run its final race.
