You can switch before getting brittle boots but it will just feel a lot worse and you will crit strikes over crit damage I hate taking the bleed mastery at the bottom of the tree because it feels when mapping and does not help your rolling magma damage off screen. If you dislike the way it feels you can drop it for more jewel sockets with crit multi to make up the dps loss. Taking the adjacent animosity wheel is more single target damage but it makes mapping feel much worse imo. Up to you whether you take it or not Leveling I am going to rolling magma from 1-27 and then wing it with spellslinger starting at 28 (tree in pob for this). If that starts to fall off I will transition to rolling magma mines. Before switching to rolling magma try to get 20 quality on it. Do not try to get a 21/0 version. That is a lot worse than a 20/20 especially if you have +1 fire spells somewhere on your gear If you just want to play rolling magma mines before transitioning I cannot recommend Gorotha's builds enough. Weapon base type doesn't matter as long as you can get around 9-10% crit chance and 1.6-1.8 attack speed Lower than that is fine if it is a really good damage weapon otherwise If you end up using a non dagger do not take the dagger attack speed nodes on the tree obviously Weirdly enough claws are pretty decent super early game CoC weapons since they have tons of aps and crit chance, especially if a gemini claw base since that mana on hit means you get to drop the bottom mana leech cluster Not including weapon trade filter for blast rain CoC or Lanc Steel since someone has to explicitly craft those for the archetype (Essence of WoE on a spine bow or foil).
