A 1950’s Inspired Day in the Life

Hello Darlings! A lot of you have requested more vintage day in the life videos, so here it is!! I had a lovely vintage inspired day with James and Granny, and I really enjoyed filming the whole process. Usually, I’m not able to live like this every day because I’ll be at university or on nursing placement. So, I had a really lovely day taking my time, making wholesome meals and spending time with the chickens! I hope you enjoy the video and I’ll see you soon, Lots of love, Sage Xx Here is the Marmalade recipe: 7 small grapefruits 2 ½ cups sugar Cinnamon and allspice (or whatever spice you fancy!) ½ - 1 cup honey (optional – I did this because my grapefruit were VERY bitter) Method: Peel or slice off rind. Cut away white pith from grapefruit (the bitter part). Slice up grapefruit and rind and put in pot with sugar. Bring to boil then simmer for 10 minutes, stirring every so often. Add in honey and spices and simmer for another 10 minutes. Do the freezer test to check whether marmalade is ready. (Put a spoonful of marmalade on saucer and put in freezer for 3 mins. Draw a line with your finger or spoon through the marmalade and if it stays and doesn’t move back together then its ready!) Sterilize jar and then pour in your marmalade, let set overnight on bench or in fridge. (Marmalade should last for a year in fridge if in sterilized jar).
