So we built a concept trailer imagining what a massive Hollywood reboot of Army of Darkness would look like — and the cast we put together is unreal. Chris Pratt steps into the role of Ash Williams and it just works. Pratt has that same cocky, wisecracking energy that made Ash iconic — a regular guy who has absolutely no business being a hero but somehow gets the job done anyway. In this concept, Ash is once again ripped through time by the Necronomicon and thrown into medieval England. But this time the stakes are bigger. The Deadite army isn't just terrorizing one castle — it's consuming entire kingdoms. Ash lands in the middle of a brutal war between Lord Arthur and Duke Henry the Red, and both sides think he's either a prophet or an enemy. Margot Robbie plays Sheila, the fierce noblewoman who goes from doubting Ash to fighting alongside him as the undead close in. Liam Neeson commands the screen as Lord Arthur, the aging king desperately holding his crumbling kingdom together against a darkness he doesn't understand. Tom Hardy brings raw intensity as Duke Henry the Red, Arthur's rival warlord who is forced into an uneasy alliance when the dead start rising across both their lands. Morgan Freeman is the Wiseman, the ancient advisor who recognizes Ash as the prophesied one and guides him toward the Necronomicon. And Scarlett Johansson plays Linda, the woman Ash lost before being pulled through time — appearing in haunting visions that drive him to fight his way back home. The original Army of Darkness was directed by Sam Raimi, co-written with his brother Ivan Raimi, and starred Bruce Campbell as Ash Williams alongside Embeth Davidtz as Sheila, Marcus Gilbert as Lord Arthur, Richard Grove as Duke Henry, and Ian Abercrombie as the Wiseman. It was the third installment in the Evil Dead trilogy following The Evil Dead in 1981 and Evil Dead II in 1987.
