PREPPING FOR THE HA GIANG MOTORBIKE LOOP | Travel from Hanoi to Ha Giang & route planning

Location: Ha Giang, Vietnam Recorded: October 26, 2022 Vlog 58 Today we left Hanoi, Vietnam to head up north to Ha Giang, Vietnam. We are heading there to do the Ha Giang motorbike loop. Today is all about prepping for the loop. As you can tell, we don't fully know what we are getting into. :) We booked a day bus to Ha Giang through the Aquamarine Hotel in Hanoi. We were picked up in a minivan and transported to a sleeper van for our 6-hour journey. We arrived at the Thai Homestay in the late afternoon. Our host, Thai, wasn't home from work yet, so we had tea with her neighbors while we waited. Once Thai got home, it was time to prep for the motorbike loop. We would not have been able to do the loop without her help. She first rented us a motorbike that was delivered to her home within a few hours. While we waited for the bike, we reviewed the loop and decided where we wanted to stay each night. We are doing 4 days and 3 nights so we decided to stay in Dong Van, Meo Vac, and Du Gia. We are doing the loop without a guide or group so having Thai really helped. She booked all of our homestays on the loop. We did some laundry and then took the bike for a test drive to ensure everything was running smoothly. We headed in for the night relatively early to back our stuff and get a good night of sleep for our first day on the loop. :) We hope you enjoy the vlog, and we are excited to show you more of the Ha Giang loop over the next few days!
