The fifth console game in the Burnout franchise released in 2007 for the PlayStation 2 and the PlayStation Portable in 2007, Burnout Dominator brings back Burnout Chaining and the ability to multiply boost chains for a high score. This game is notable for not having a Crash mode, it's replaced with Maniac in which players must drive very recklessly while Burnout Chaining without wrecking. Dominator does use the physics engine from Burnout Revenge. However, the "Traffic Checking" mechanic from Revenge is not in this game so beware for fans of Revenge. Players of Burnout 3: Takedown will want to adapt to the format changes with the Road Rage events as it uses the format from Revenge where there is a countdown timer that ends the event when it reaches zero, but it can be extended whenever the player reaches a certain number of Takedowns. Which can make it more challenging given how the physics are. Speaking of Road Rage, enjoy some action that recorded of Road Rage in the PS2 version of Burnout Dominator!
