What Orisha Oya Teaches Us About Ori Alignment!

Orisha Oya - Ori Alignment & Fulfilling Her Purpose When we think about Orisa Oya, the formidable deity of whirlwinds, thunderstorms, tornadoes and water, the beloved favorite wife of Shango, we often think about her transformative powers, mastery over the elements, warrior spirit, motherhood, courage, determination, resilience, passion, loyalty, protection and of course, supernatural abilities. What we often forget is what Oya teaches us about being in alignment with one's Ori. Oya's formidable feats and transformative powers were only possible because she was totally guided by and in harmony with her Ori and consequently her destiny. Oya's story from her birth, which was in alignment with her father's destiny(as revealed to him during divination) to her fulfilling her purpose, living with intention, subduing a lion, winning Sango's heart and loyalty to her people, is a reminder to us all to allow our Ori to lead and guide us through this journey call life.
