Task: 1.Answer the patient’s questions. 2.Explain that hyperemesis gravidarum is an abnormal condition of pregnancy associated with prolonged vomiting, weight loss and fluid and electrolyte imbalance. Her case is not severe and the doctor expects she will recover fully and deliver a healthy baby. 3. Reassure the patient that the medication will not harm her baby. Ask if she would like to see her husband for some emotional support. 4. Ensure all the patient’s concerns are dealt with.
