In 1971 I had just got out of the service. I went to a HiFi stereo show in downtown Phoenix. I had bought some very good speakers in Viet Nam and brought them home with me. At the show I was listening to products from a lot of vendors and I was really enjoying myself. I walked into the Bose room and they had their 901 speakers sitting on two pedestals. When the room had a small crowd, the salesman placed the test record on the turntable and the music just blew me away. The sound just surrounded us, like being in the middle of the orchestra. I was so impressed, I bought the record, but could never afford the speakers. Plus the Bose needed a big enough room to do their magic. This record has been sitting with a bunch of other records in my garage for decades. I got a USB recording turntable on Amazon and just fired it up today. I used a bit rate of 38280 to try to get the best sound. I know YouTube lowers that rate, but I wanted to upload the best bit rate that I could. This is a great record to test your speakers and system...... even now. I tried to get rid of the disk noise, but it reduced the fullness of sound from the disk. I played this file on my current system and was blown away again by the full dynamics of the sound.... after all these years. 0:09 Minneapolis Symphony Orchestra Hary Janos Suite Composed By – Kodaly* Conductor – Antal Dorati 02:56 London Symphony Orchestra* Piano Conc. #5 Composed By – Beethoven* Conductor – Stanislaw Skrowaczewski Piano – Gina Bachauer 6:30 Eastman Wind Ensemble Armenian Dance #2 Composed By – Khachaturian* Conductor – Frederick Fennell 9:36 Eastman Rochester Orchestra* Gold And The Senor Commandante Composed By – Bergsma* Conductor – Howard Hanson 12:44 Eastman Rochester Orchestra* Pictures At An Exhibition Composed By – Moussorgsky* Conductor – Howard Hanson Orchestrated By – Ravel* 17:46 Eastman Wind Ensemble Celebration (From Symphonic Dances) Composed By – Bennett* Conductor – Frederick Fennell 22:01 London Symphony Orchestra* Love For Three Oranges Composed By – Prokofiev* Conductor – Antal Dorati 25:12 Minneapolis Symphony Orchestra El Salon Mexico Composed By – Copland* Conductor – Antal Dorati 28:29 Eastman Wind Ensemble Japanese Sword Dance Composed By – Rogers* Conductor – Frederick Fennell 32:19 London Symphony Orchestra* Russian Easter Overture Composed By – Rimsky-Korsakov* Conductor – Antal Dorati 40:30 Eastman Rochester Orchestra* Campo Di Flori Composed By – Kennan* Conduc
