Northern National Restoration Group (NNRG) First public depot open day of 2025 Let's have a browse around the site and see and listen to modern vehicles and remember the sounds of old buses creaking and vibrating as they reverse and brake.... good times..... good memories. The Saturday event was another fine day out, the sun was shining and a many NNRG owned vehicles out on display enjoying the warmth too, and those stored in the depot are under going repairs and maintenance and restoration with another new edition to there fleet (yes its yellow) with a very interesting history and story how it was recently bought, but maybe another video on that in the future. Entrance fee paid and some more spare change added to the donation bucket, raffle tickets bought, as it all goes in the big pot to keep these vehicles running and secure in the building they are buying outright to be the permanent home for NNRG.The smell of the hot food drifting through the foyer was too tempting to miss out on and was great to see the girls again and have a laugh and a giggle about the homemade cornflake cake, rare as hens teeth grab it while you can or your missing out. Plenty of refreshments to suit everyone and all the profits go in the big pot to keep the lights on and keep the wheels turning. Every time I visit something has changed or been altered or discovered that you haven't seen before, it's keeping memories alive. Many guest vehicles in attendance to enjoy and operators and drivers happy to discuss their vehicle and able to access and answer any questions. The small entrance fee charge gets you a wrist band so you can ride onboard the preserved and guest buses and coaches on small trips around the area and able to stop off for a brief photo opportunity of the vehicle at a safe point to capture your memories, and with the end cavalcade parade at the finish of the day around Penshaw Monument you could have experienced 6 rides around the north east. Here I share with you just over ten minutes of a great day out. Please check my community post about more details of NNRG. Please check out my other videos. Make a brew and a biscuit or two and hope you enjoy the edit. Please note : edited to be respectful to other visitors in attendance.
