The sky felt close enough to touch… as if the clouds were whispering stories only we could hear. Kya kabhi mehsoos kiya hai… jab aasman itna kareeb lagta hai, jaise bas haath badhao aur choo lo? Aaj main aur Rupali chale the Meghalaya ke badalon ke beech — into the magical land of Kutmadan, a hidden gem tucked in Sohra. Yahan hawa bhi kahaniyaan sunati hai, aur khamoshi bhi kuch keh jaati hai. Every frame looked painted — by mist, by mountains, by magic itself. Where every turn opened into something new — emerald valleys, smiling faces, and that warm “Khublei” greeting that says more than words ever could. Sohra, — yaani purana Cherrapunji, kahaniyon aur baarishon ka nagar. A high-altitude town in the northeast Indian state of Meghalaya was once known as the wettest place on earth. This timeless Khasi hill town was the traditional capital of Ka Hima Sohra. British zamane mein log ise “Cherra” kehkar bulaate the, aur wahi “Cherrapunji” naam duniya bhar mein mashhoor ho gaya tha. Aur unhi raahon mein, ek 125 saal purane dak bungalow ke andar basa hai Café Cherrapunjee — run by the ever-smiling Alan West Kharkongor. A heritage guesthouse that carries the warmth of home and the taste of the clouds themselves. Kutmadan Resort — bas thoda aage, ek aisi jagah jahan simplicity feels like luxury. Na shor, na bheed. Bas ped, pahad, aur logon ki muskaan. Yahan har subah ek nayi roshni lekar aati hai, aur har shaam badalon ke rangon mein ghul jaati hai. The food, the people, the peace — everything about Sohra reminded us how beautiful life can be when lived slowly, gratefully. As we sat watching the play of sunshine and clouds, this thought lingered — places like these need not just admiration, but gentle care. Aisi sundarta tabhi zinda rehti hai jab hum usse izzat se, pyaar se sambhalte hain. Yeh prakriti hamari mehmaan-nawazi pe jeeti hai. Toh Chhod jaaiye sirf apne kadmon ke nishaan, aur le jaaiye apne dil mein yeh sukoon. Let’s keep places like this clean, keep them alive… so that when you visit again, you too can find the same magic breathing in the air. Come, feel it for yourself.... Ayiyen Meghalay ke in badalon ke beech, apni kahani likhne. Meghalaya waits — with open skies, endless clouds, and peace that will change something within you. A heartfelt thank you to Alan West Kharkongor and the wonderful team at Café Cherrapunjee & Kutmadan Resort — for your warmth, your hospitality, your stories, and the love with which you preserve this beautiful land & keep Sohra’s spirit alive. You made us feel at home amidst the clouds. Thank you for watching, my friends. If these clouds made you smile… share this safar with someone who needs a little peace today. And if you felt the magic of Meghalaya, leave a comment, share your thoughts — and stay with us for the next beautiful journey. 💛 Alshukran Bandhu, Alshukran Zindagi ---- For details & bookings, Alan West Kharkongor Owner - Café Cherrapunjee & Kutmadan Resort Phone: +91 98561 31945 Cafe Cherrapunjee: https://cafecherrapunjee.com ---- Edited by: Saharukh Khan An Avid Miner Productions: https://linktr.ee/Ashishvidyarthi ----- Additional Background Score: Mak - Mallar & Neerajan Saha. / makmallar / @mallarkarmakar ----- Come be a part of My YouTube Family ❤️😇🙏🏻 Subscribe to my YouTube Channels👇🏻 ➡️ / @ashishvidyarthiactorvlogs ➡️ / @ashishvidyarthipodcast ➡️ / @fiftypluszindagi ➡️ / @foodkhaanawithashishvidyarthi ➡️ / @kahaniyaanwithashishvidyarthi 🔔 Press the bell icon to be the first to get notified each time I upload a new video. -------- About This Channel: Namaskar, I am Ashish Vidyarthi, an Indian film actor who has worked in over 300 films across 11 languages.
