Adepts are some of the more controversial units of the StarCraft 2: Legacy of the Void expansion. The fact that they do bonus damage against Light makes that especially Protoss versus Terran can be extremely tricky from the Terran's point of view. They will pretty much always base their army around the Marine, which means that the Adepts can quite easily clean up the main source of damage. It is however hard to say whether or not the unit is imbalanced. Sure, it can deal a lot of damage. But when scouted and responded correctly, this build order is relatively easy to stop with units such as Marauader, Siege Tanks and even Widow Mines.
