We welcome you to meet horticultural scientists from the wonderful National Botanic Gardens and Teagasc Horticultural research site in Ashtown, Dublin. You will hear from Darach Lupton in the National Botanic Gardens, who will share his knowledge from his interesting career working in Ireland and abroad in the field of botany. You will also meet Colin Kelleher, who is a botanist in the National Herbarium. He will talk about the fascinating scientific work that goes on in the herbarium, which has a vast preserved collection of plants and seeds. Catch up also with Postdoctoral Researcher Sam Belton. You will also meet Lael Walsh, who works in horticultural science in Teagasc Ashtown and will explain what scientific work is ongoing in food production research.
