PROVEN LOCALS FAVORITE - Cedar Breaks Park | Lake Georgetown | Camping Fishing Hiking Boating

This video is a complete drive through of the Cedar Breaks Park Camping Area starting at the Garbage cans and making the entire loop and ending back at the Garbage Cans. Exiting right? Sure. Let’s go with that. I like this park as it is probably the one park of the many North of Austin clear up to Belton Lake that has a significant amount of shaded camping spots. The trees allow for both shade and a feeling of privacy as you are not camping so close you can reach out and touch your neighbors rig. The best spots are the shaded spots that back to Lake Georgetown. But over all most of the spots are quite good. This park fills up in the summer months on the weekends so you will need to book in advanced on the Rec.gov website. Note: Some spots will require a bit more leveling than other U.S. Army Corp of Engineers Campgrounds. There are 62 Camp Sites some with both 30 Amp and 50 Amp service. Some of the sites can accommodate larger Class A Motorhomes and large 5th Wheels, but not all of them so.you will need to make sure BEFORE you book. Also the trees can provide a lot of shade but they can also damage your rig if you are camping and it gets really stormy. It’s hit and miss literally. The park is well kept, but it can get noisy on the weekends. This park is more of a Party Feel on the weekends and less of a Camping feel. It is very common for people to set up an RV then have local visitors come and visit them so it can become crowded. Overall it is still more popular than Jim Hogg Park which is located across LaKe Georgetown. I have videos about Jim Hogg as well and you should take a look for yourself. But for people who really want to use the lake facilities for boating and family outings Cedar Breaks has Jim Hogg Park beat.
