Mandolins are so cool honestly. I don’t play mine enough. Anyways, I was going for a progressive bluegrass feel with this one. I’ll acknowledge one thing I want to improve on basically all of these original songs I’ve uploaded is the vocal delivery. It could sound so much better if I was better at changing my voice lol This song was the first one I wrote in the past year. It’s not really based in reality, but more a fear or paranoid delusion of mine (riddles lol). Maybe this event happened in my dreams. I’ve certainly had similar dreams of my ex being with other ppl haha. It’s torture🥲 Lyrics verse 1 well i got in my car and i drove fast as i could i tried to shake the feeling from my old neighborhood i had to get out i had to get away but i had no place to stay it looks like night i’d be sleeping  in my rusty chevrolet no this ain’t right this can’t be won’t you keep me company as i fight as i claw out my terrible misery but she said no its too late plus i’ve got myself a date with a guy you once knew but he don’t act like you chorus 1 so now i’m sleepin underground in some old dude’s storm cellar that he forgot about somebody please help me make a sound anything but these thoughts in my head spinnin round verse 2 i couldn’t take this i couldn’t sleep so i got back on my feet i took my things and headed  back towards the street anything’s better anything new long as it’s got nothing to do with you maybe i’ll find a new bestfriend maybe we’ll make it to the end yeah we’ll pick flowers we’ll skip work this time i won’t be a jerk we’ll take walks  in the rain i think that would ease my pain then i’ll forget all my troubles as i embrace this change it all sounds nice but i’m not sure so then i’m headed for the door chorus 2 again i’m sleepin underground in that old dude’s storm cellar i hope he don’t find me out somebody please help me find my way as i try to navigate just to make it through the day verse 3 now i’m runnin for my life i gotta move fast i gotta think twice i don’t know which way is right i’m just trying to see the light sometimes i wonder if it’s true could i really run from you or would you follow me again i think you’re inside my head what’s wrong with my brain i might actually be insane if i am, what’s to do? man, i haven’t got a clue chorus 3 soon i’ll be sleepin underground but i won’t be in that cellar i’ll be six foot in the ground in a box made of wood in an unmarked grave yeah i’m really gone for good but i’m just sleepin
