The Wonders of Borneo is a film capturing eleven unforgettable days of scuba diving in the Celebes Sea near Tarakan, northern Kalimantan, Indonesia. From chaotic currents and graceful whale sharks around traditional Bagan fishing platforms, to cuttlefish and lush, colorful coral reefs, the underwater world was alive with wonder. Along the journey, we released baby green sea turtles on remote Sangalaki Island before leaving the Arenui, a phinisi-style liveaboard, to explore deeper into the Borneo jungle. Traveling upriver on the Sekonyer River, we stayed at the Rhimba Eco Lodge and ventured into the jungle in search of endangered orangutans and proboscis monkeys, visiting three feeding stations along the way.
