Full playthrough of Ib, one of the best RPGs out there. The game is pretty short when you know what you're doing, but it's still great nonetheless. This playthrough isn't meant to be a walkthrough or anything, just a reminder that this game exists and it's awesome. There are currently seven possible endings to the game; the ending that you get is mostly determined by the way you (Ib) interact with Garry, Mary, and your environment. "Promise of Reunion" : Your relationship with Garry must be at eight points or higher to get this ending; you can earn these points by interacting with him correctly (including giving him his coat back in the "safe room", examining the milk puzzle, and talking to him at least seven times in both the "safe room" and the sunlight). If you give Garry your handkerchief after he cuts his hand on the glass from Mary's portrait, escape to the Gallery with him (as opposed to leaving with the fake "mother", AND tell him that you remember what happened, you'll get the best ending possible (unless you like Mary. But, if you like Mary and want her to survive, then Garry will have to suffer instead. There's no possible way for all three of them to escape together as of right now, but that's probably for the best. Mary may have been a lonely "girl" looking for companionship, but she was also batshit crazy and chased around Ib and Garry with a knife. Don't feel bad for her). This ending seems like the true ending. Maybe Garry and Ib go get some macaroons when they meet up again. "Memory's Crannies" : If you do not give Garry your handkerchief (either because your relationship with him isn't high enough or you choose the option not to), he won't remember you in the gallery. Not the worst ending possible, but definitely bittersweet. At least they made it out alive. "Ib All Alone" : There are 4 versions of this ending. The first will occur is Ib chooses to follow the fake "mother" before jumping through the painting with Garry. The second will occur if Garry dies, Ib burns Mary's painting, and Ib follows a fake "Garry" (rather than the fake "mother") instead of jumping through the painting. The third version is much like the previous version, except there aren't any fake people and Ib decides to step away from the painting instead of going back through it. The final version occurs if Ib chooses to sleep through her dream on the "Final Stage" sculpture in the Dungeon - she won't be able to wake up and will be stuck forever. All of these endings suck. "Forgotten Portrait" : Occurs if Garry gives his rose to Mary in exchange for Ib's (if Ib doesn't pick up her own rose before talking to Garry after they fall into the Toy Box). Mary ends up pulling all of the petals off of his rose and thus he is unable to return to the real world with Ib. Instead of "The Hanged Man" painting in the Gallery, a new painting will take its place depicting Garry "sleeping" (though he's probably dead and Ib's nine-year-old brain is too innocent to realize). If you let Mary take Garry's rose I hate you and you suck. "Together Forever" : Like the previous version, except Mary will end up in the real world with Ib if their relationship is high enough. It's a good ending if you like Mary, hate Garry, and are a total nutcase. "Welcome to the World of Guertena" : One of the newer endings introduced in v1.04 of Ib. If Garry fails to leave the Doll Room in time (in other words, he doesn't find the key before the doll comes out of the portrait), he will go crazy and begin hallucinating (as the book he reads in the room would foreshadow). If Ib ignores Garry, she'll get a bad ending; if she goes into the room and stays with him, Ib will tell Mary to go on without her. If your relationship with Mary is high enough, Mary will stay and throw a "welcome party" for you and Garry, which I'm pretty sure ends in death. "A Painting's Demise" : Another one of the newer endings; it's like the previous ending, except if your relationship with Mary isn't high enough, Mary will leave both Ib and Garry behind and continue on by herself. Mary will go through the "Fabricated World" painting, but will end up being trapped and presumably killed in the Gallery as what may be punishment for abandoning Ib and Garry. It's a bit more on the creepier side of things and also raises the notion that the Gallery itself may be alive somehow. Ib is one of those games that is just as enjoyable to watch as it is to play, in my opinion. It isn't necessarily "fun" or anything - it's more of an example of "video games being art" (literally!). While not exactly scary, it can be slightly unsettling at certain points (I don't think it shows up in the video, but there's a drawing of a person hanging from a tree by a noose in the crayon world). I recommend playing it at least once, just to experience the atmosphere and whatnot yourself. You can download Ib (v1.04) here: http://www.vgperson.com/games/ib.htm
