Mere Railway Modellers held their 2025 Exhibition over the weekend of 14th/15th June in the Mere Lecture Halls. The layouts on display varied in gauge/scale, location and era; an interesting mix. Honouring the toy trains from a bygone era but in a scenic setting with some modern features. 10:00 Wantage Tramway - 009 gauge - Richard Holder. An interpretation of the 'Upper Yard' at Mill Street had the tramway been built as a narrow gauge railway. 15:05 Longmoor Military Railway - N gauge - Ray Oliver. An impression of the extensive military railway that was situated between Bordon & Liss, Hampshire between 1905 & 1969. 17:00 Knaff Hall - Gn15; 16.5mm gauge; 1/24 scale - Toby Hollins. Portraying a small portion of the Duffield Bank estate 15in gauge line in Derbyshire. 19:35 Buckleigh - 00 gauge - James & Chandler Thick & John Penny. Depicts a typical small GWR through station in South West England in the 1940s/1950s. 22:05 Crosscombe - 0 gauge; 7mm scale - Marchwood Modellers.
