Autumn is in the air! Please enjoy this autumn-themed play along, aimed at being used with younger students. Ideas on using this icon rhythm play along: Use this video as an introduction to fermatas, and what they do to a steady beat. Split the class into two groups, where one half performs the top line and the other half performs the bottom line. Then switch roles on a second playthrough. Perform different levels of body percussion for each color (red - clap, yellow - pat, etc.) Have your students compose their own leaf rhythms! Take your classroom outside (or create your own manipulatives) and have students place their leave-colors in four boxes to represent different beats.
